With over 10 years of experience (Google, AI-focused startups) with big data and as the Chief Product Officer and co-founder at Mona, the leading AI monitoring intelligence company, Itai has a unique view of the AI industry. Working closely with data science and ML teams applying dozens of solutions in over 10 industries, Itai encounters a wide variety of business use cases, organizational structures and cultures, and technologies used in today’s AI world.
Chris Riccomini is an engineer, author, investor, and advisor. He has worked on infrastructure as an engineer and manager for about 15 years at PayPal, LinkedIn, and WePay. He was involved in open source as the original author of Apache Samza and an early contributor to Apache Airflow. He has also written a book with Dmitriy Ryaboy called The Missing README, a guide for software engineers. Lately, he has been investing in startups in the data space.
Ran Romano is the co-founder and VP of Engineering at Qwak, where he is focused on building the next-generation ML infrastructure for ML teams of various sizes. Before Qwak, Ran led the Data and ML engineering groups at Wix.com - where he built Wix's internal ML Platform. Previous to that, he was a Technical Product Manager at the Israeli Intelligence corps.
Mars Lan is the co-founder and CTO of Metaphor Data, a startup that offers a Modern Metadata Platform to solve many complex organizational data challenges, such as data discovery and data governance. He also co-created the popular open-source project DataHub while working as the Tech Lead of the metadata team at LinkedIn. Mars received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Caitlin Colgrove is the Co-Founder and CTO of Hex Technologies, a collaborative data workspace for building and sharing data projects using SQL and Python. Caitlin has spent her career as a software engineer building data analytics tools, first at Palantir and then later at startups including Remix and Hex. As a CTO, her focus has expanded from purely technology to growing and developing diverse and inclusive engineering teams.
Aarti Bagul is a machine learning engineer at Snorkel AI. Before Snorkel, she worked closely with Andrew Ng in various capacities: (1) at AI Fund helping build ML companies from scratch internally and investing in ML companies, (2) as an ML engineer at his startup Landing AI, (3) as head TA for his deep learning class CS230, and (4) as an assistant in his research lab at Stanford.
Aarti graduated with a master’s in Computer Science from Stanford, where she participated in the Threshold Venture and Greylock X fellowships. Before Stanford, she got her bachelor’s in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from NYU with the highest honors. During her time at NYU, she worked in David Sontag’s lab on machine learning applications to clinical medicine and at Microsoft Research as a research intern for John Langford (where she contributed to Vowpal Wabbit, an open-source project).
