With over 10 years of experience (Google, AI-focused startups) with big data and as the Chief Product Officer and co-founder at Mona, the leading AI monitoring intelligence company, Itai has a unique view of the AI industry. Working closely with data science and ML teams applying dozens of solutions in over 10 industries, Itai encounters a wide variety of business use cases, organizational structures and cultures, and technologies used in today’s AI world.
Tom Rikert is the co-founder and CEO of Masterful AI, the training platform for computer vision that helps developers build models faster and with much less labeling. He is a former VC and invested in enterprise software and AI/ML at Andreessen Horowitz. Before VC, he held product management roles at Wildfire (acquired by Google), YouTube, and Autodesk. He began his AI/ML journey at MIT and started his career as an engineer at Silicon Graphics. Tom lives in the Bay Area with his wife and daughter and loves going fast, whether on a mountain bike or flying racing drones.
Mars Lan is the co-founder and CTO of Metaphor Data, a startup that offers a Modern Metadata Platform to solve many complex organizational data challenges, such as data discovery and data governance. He also co-created the popular open-source project DataHub while working as the Tech Lead of the metadata team at LinkedIn. Mars received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Carl Osipov is the Chief Technology Officer of CounterFactual.AI - a boutique machine learning consultancy he co-founded with his friend from IBM. Previously, he held engineering and technical leadership roles at Google and IBM, on programs and projects across both United States and Europe, in the areas of machine learning, computational natural language processing, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
Carl is also an inventor with six patents at USPTO and is an author of "Serverless Machine Learning in Action," a book from Manning Publishers, currently available as an ebook subscription and expected in print in early 2021.
Sara Hooker is a researcher at Google Brain doing deep learning research on reliable explanations of model predictions for black-box models. Her main research interests gravitate towards interpretability, model compression, and security. In 2014, she founded Delta Analytics, a non-profit dedicated to bringing technical capacity to help non-profits across the world use machine learning for good. She grew up in Africa, in Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, and Kenya. Her family now lives in Monrovia, Liberia.
Vincent Tatan is a Data and Technology enthusiast with relevant working experiences from Google LLC, Visa Inc., and Lazada to implement microservice architectures, business intelligence, and analytics pipeline projects. Vincent is a native Indonesian with a record of accomplishments in problem-solving with strengths in Full Stack Development, Data Analytics, and Strategic Planning. He has been actively consulting Singapore Management University’s Business Intelligence and Analytics Club, guiding aspiring data scientists and engineers from various backgrounds and opening up his expertise for businesses to develop their products. Vincent also opens up his one on one mentorship service to coach on landing your dream Data Analyst/Engineer Job at Google, Visa, or other large tech companies.
